So much of our history is being eroded away by political correctness. This is yet another example of it. I stumbled onto a devotional in Logos bible software that I don't often look at. It really made me think about this hymn. We in the church usually think of this as being songs entirely about God. This one is focused at Him, leading up to glorifying Him in the final verse. Being young, I have never really taken a lot of time to read or sing this song, usually in school or church on certain occasions. (i.e. Memorial Day) The hymn is "My Country, 'Tis Of Thee".

dc Talk has had a huge influence on the Christian music industry. I took a dive back into their history today with the Album "Free At Last."
While listening to David Crowder's newest album "Church Music", I was listening to the song "Shadows." It reminds me of many dark times in my life, when things were going on around me and for me. I couldn't help but be moved by the chorus; it reminds me to focus on Jesus and that the darkness will only endure for a season.
Well, while listening to David Crowder's song "Never Let Go", I got to seriously thinking about those words. What does it mean to NEVER let go of something. What do I think of never wanting to let go of?
Some parents in Frisco, Texas, are fuming because their public school district allowed Christian evangelists to provide Bibles to students on school grounds, which administrators say was done to stop even more proselytizing outside the schools.
