Well, I came across a few months back, an interesting snippet linked by David Crowder. It was written by Brian McLaren. Enjoy!
In an effort to not be fouled by popular culture, Christians often err on the side of being “out” of it, isolating ourselves and keeping us from reaching those outside of the church. So how can we be in the world, but not influenced by it?
I am very inspired and yet very concerned by what this series is bringing to light.
Our country, the land of the free, is becoming so restrained! It's as if Christianity is the exception to the freedom that everyone else seems to have and expect! This is a FREE series that shows us the double standard that our country is putting on spreading the good news of Christ's death and resurrection and the freedom that it brings. "Whilst sun and moon endure, America shall remain a city of refuge for the whole earth, until she herself shall play the tyrant, forget her destiny, disgrace her freedom, and provoke her God"
George Duffield was pastor of Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, attended by John Adams, from 1772 to 1790.
Well.... I guess this shows that do-it-yourself isn't always profitable. :P
Well, for those interested, I've posted some new photos in my gallery.

While I have only read 1 chapter of this informational book, I am pulled into a book that displays the many stories that our modern textbooks have chosen to leave out, due to the Christian message that is put forth by the fathers of our country, including George Washington. Our modern books fail to show you just how passionate our early government leaders were about our GOD given rights and how Christianity played an ever-so-important role in the forming and shaping of our government. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Microsoft has had a change of heart and decided that DRM-Free music might be a good thing. After a spokesman recently laughed at Steve Jobs' open note to the community about his feelings on DRM infected music, Microsoft has decided that the world might be a better place if music IS DRM-Free. This comes after this week's EMI/Apple announcement of DRM-Free music on iTunes, albeit at a higher cost / quality. I'll be interested to see how fast the rest of the Top 4 come on-board with this idea. Stay tuned! :D
Well, for those that have a personal wireless network, you might not know that you wireless is actually quite insecure, especially if you are using WEP. It has been known that WEP is insecure in comparison to the newer WPA and WPA2 standards. Hackers are now able to crack 104 bit WEP in under a minute with relatively little work and with good accuracy. This should be a warning for those still using WEP to upgrade to WPA(2) soon!
